Welcome to M and EM's and Meredith Jaye, a collective of beautiful boutiques in the most beautiful shopping districts of Chicago's most charming and sophisticated suburbs.

In March 2000, my husband and I were on a ski vacation in Telluride, Colorado. We happened upon a quaint children's boutique that embodied a sophisticated and joyful retail experience. I had found my calling. On that trip, our M and EM's concept began to come into focus. The vision for our shop, what we represent, and our passion for family led us to name M and EM's after daughters, Mackenzie and Emmerson, and it was perfect!

We opened our doors in August 2000 in downtown Wheaton, Illinois, in the historic Knippen Shoe Building, and five years later, we realized we had outgrown our space. Wanting to stay close to the community, we moved down the road to beautiful downtown Glen Ellyn. This has been our home for the last 17 years, and we feel so blessed!

Growing from a baby and children's boutique, the most expansive gift options for everyone on your list is a dream come true. With our close relationships with customers asking for more products and gift selections, we listened, and with the loyalty of our customers and growth, we opened our home and women's store seven years ago. Meredith Jaye, the middle name of our girls, is a curated selection of women's clothing, accessories, and home décor, with the most beautiful store experiences.
